Procedure

(1)
Install the hydraulic fittings in the valve (Fig. 401):
(a)
Lubricate the O-rings (4 and 12), the backup rings (3 and 11), and the fittings (2 and 10) with Skydrol Assembly Lube.
(b)
Install the hydraulic fittings (2 and 10) with new O-rings (4 and 12) and backup rings (3 and 11).
(2)
Extend the actuator (1).
(3)
Fill the actuator with hydraulic fluid.

Install caps on the hydraulic ports.

Install the actuator:
(a)
Put the actuator (1) in its position with the rod end down and outboard and the hydraulic ports up.
(b)
Install the head end of the actuator (1) on the hook pivot pin (14) with the washer (13).
NOTE: Make sure the countersink on the washer is adjacent to
____
the bottom of the pin.
(c)
Install the washer (7) and the nut (6).
(d)
Tighten the nut (6) to 100 pound-inches maximum.
(e)
Loosen the nut to permit the installation of the cotter pin (5).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE BOLT (18) AS SHOWN IN FIG. 401.
_______ IF YOU INSTALL THE BOLT HEAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION IT CAN TOUCH THE UPLOCK SPRINGS.
(f)
Connect the rod end of the actuator (1) to the clevis (19) with the parts that follow: 1) The bolt (18) with the countersunk washer (17) adjacent to
the bolt head 2) The washers (20 and 21) adjacent to the nut (15).
(g)
Tighten the nut (15) to 100 pound-inches maximum.
