Connect the door actuator rod to the door actuator beam with the bolt (5).
(g)
Tighten the nut to 600-1500 pound-inches.
(h)
Install the cotter pin.
(i)
If you cannot install the cotter pin or you can loosen the nut below the minimum torque after you install the cotter pin, do these steps: 1) Change the aft nut with the forward nut. 2) Install washers adjacent to the nuts.
(j)
Put the rod end of the actuator between the flanges of the actuator beam.
(k)
Install the nylon washers between the rod end and the flanges of the beam.
CAUTION:_______HOLD THE BOLT WHEN YOU TIGHTEN IT. IF YOU PERMIT THE BOLT TO TURN, IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CLEVIS LOCKING DEVICE.
(l)
Install the bolt (4) with the square head in the milled recess.
(m)
Tighten the self-locking nut to 1400-1500 pound-inches.

Manually lift the door.

Make sure it does not hit or touch something.

Make sure the linkage operates correctly.

Make sure the adjustment for the wheel well doors for the wing landing gear is correct (Ref 32-12-00/501).

WING LANDING GEAR DOOR SAFETY VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains these two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the door safety valve for the wing landing gear
(2)
The installation of the door safety valve for the wing landing gear.
B.
To remove the door safety valve these operations are necessary:
(1)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the valve.
(2)
Disconnect the valve from the differential assembly.
(3)
Remove the clamping bolt and remove the valve.
C.
To install the safety valve these operations are necessary:
(1)
Install the hydraulic fittings in the valve.
(2)
Install the door safety valve.
(3)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the valve.
D.
The door safety valve is in the forward inboard corner of the wheel well of the wing landing gear. You can remove the safety valve independently or with the applicable differential.
