_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).

 WARNING:  YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASKS BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Do this task: "Wing Landing Gear Door Lock Installation" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

Do this task: "Body Landing Gear Door Lock Installation" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

Remove the hydraulic pressure from system No. 4 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Removal

 (1)  
Remove the door safety valve (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the valve and install plugs.

 (b)  
Disconnect the four bolts that attach the valve to the differential assembly.

 (c)  
Remove the clamping bolt from the lever.

 (d)  
Remove the lever from the shaft with splines.

 (e)  
Remove the safety valve.

 (f)  
Remove the hydraulic fittings from the valve and install plugs in the ports.

Installation

Install the hydraulic fittings in the valve:

 (a)  
Lubricate the new O-rings and the backup rings with Skydrol Assembly Lube.

 (b)  
Install the new O-rings, the backup rings and the fittings in the safety valve.

Install the door safety valve (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Put the valve in the position above the differential assembly housing. 1) Install the shaft with splines in the hole in the safety

 valve lever.
 NOTE: The splines on the shaft must align with the splines
____ in the hole in the safety valve lever (Section A-A, Fig. 401).
 (b)  
Install the four valve attach bolts in the nutplates on the differential housing.

 (c)  
Tighten the four valve attach bolts.
