WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make sure you install the ground locks in all landing gear
(AMM 09-11-00/201).

Install the Control Handle Module.

Remove the safety pin from the control module quadrant.

Install the control handle module (Fig. 401):
NOTE: There is an alternate method below to install the
____ control module without the removal of the control display unit.
(a)
Make sure the control handle is in the OFF position.
(b)
Do this task: "Control Display Unit Removal" (AMM 34-61-02/401).
NOTE: Remove only the right control display unit (CDU).
____ Do this to give access to the connection between the control rod and the swivel joint of the handle trunnion.
(c) Help the control rod into the swivel joint of the handle trunnion while you push the module into its position.
NOTE: The alignment pin helps electrical connectors D12461 and
____ D12462 into their position. The connectors make a connection when you push the module into its position.
(d)
Install the nut that attaches the rod to the handle trunnion.
(e)
Tighten the nut while you hold the rod with a screwdriver.
