(1)
Remove the actuator (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the nut (9), the washers (7 and 8) and the lockbolt (6).
(b)
Remove the bracket (32) from the boss.
NOTE: Leave the lines in the bracket (32).

(c) Remove the nut (5), washer (10), washer (4), and washer (3) (View B).
NOTE: You can use the wrench with a crow-foot adapter
____ to remove the nut (5).
(d) Remove the actuator (2) rod end from the shock strut boss.
NOTE: Use the thread protector on the boss when you remove the
____
rod end.
(e)
Remove the washer (1) from the boss.
(f)
Remove the head end bolt (11) from the actuator.
(g)
Use the sling and the hoist to remove the actuator from the airplane.
(h)
If it is necessary to use the hydraulic fittings on the new actuator, remove the adapters (23, 27 and 28) from the actuator.
(i)
Install plugs on the ports or install caps on the hydraulic fittings.
