2) Make sure that the gear extends and that the doors close. a) Make sure the components attached to the landing gear do not interfere with the landing gear as it extends.
3) Make sure that the gear in-transit indication changes to the gear down indication on the upper EICAS gear display at the completion of the landing gear extension cycle.
4) Make sure that the door "CLOSED" indications appear on the EICAS "GEAR" lower display for all five landing gear at the end of the landing gear extension cycle.
Move the landing gear control lever to the "OFF" position. 1) Make sure that the EICAS "GEAR" lower display indicates "CLOSED" for all five gear doors with the lever in "OFF".

Make sure that the landing gear control lever is in the "OFF" position.

Make sure that all landing gear doors are closed.

Continue the test of the body gear and door operation.

Make sure that all personnel are clear of the landing gear and landing gear doors.

Move the landing gear control lever rapidly to the UP position and into the detent. 1) Measure the time that the EICAS GEAR lower display
indicates that the body gear doors are open.
NOTE: Begin timing as soon as the body gear door
____ open indication is displayed.
2) Make sure that the period of illumination for the left (right) body gear door open indication does not exceed 16 seconds.
3) Make sure that door "CLOSED" indications appear on the EICAS "GEAR" lower display for each body landing gear at the end of the landing gear retraction cycle.
(c)
Move the landing gear control lever from the UP position to the OFF position.
(d)
Move the landing gear control lever rapidly to the "DN" position and into the detent. 1) Measure the time that the EICAS GEAR lower display
indicates that the body gear doors are in the open condition.
NOTE: Begin timing as soon as the body gear door
____ open indication is displayed.
2) Make sure that the period of illumination for the left (right) body gear door open indication does not exceed 25 seconds.
3) Make sure that the motion of the left (right) body gear door is smooth and moves at a linear rate.
