Do a test of the indication for the wing landing gear and doors:
(a)
Move the control lever to the DN position. 1) Make sure the GEAR DISAGREE indication goes out of view on the top EICAS display. 2) Make sure the GEAR DOOR indication goes out of view on the
top EICAS display when the doors close. 3) Turn the EIU switch on the P2-4 panel between L, C, and R. 4) Make sure the GEAR DISAGREE indication does not come into
view for the three EIUs. 5) Make sure the GEAR DOOR indication does not come into view
for the three EIUs. 6) Make sure the top EICAS display shows one DN box. 7) Make sure the EICAS lower display shows that all doors for
the wing landing gear are closed. 8) Turn the EIU switch on the P2-4 panel between L, C, and R. 9) Make sure the gear DOWN indication comes into view on the
top EICAS display for the three EIUs. 10) Make sure the EICAS lower display shows the doors closed indication for all landing gear for the three EIUs.
(b) Move the control lever to the UP position. 1) Make sure the control lever moves to the UP position.
NOTE: You must not use the switch for the lever lock
____ override. This shows the installation for the proximity switch targets for the tilt sensors of the landing gear is correct.
2) Make sure the gear in-transit indication (a slashed box) on the top EICAS display shows when the landing gear starts to retract.
3) Make sure the landing gear retracts.
4) Make sure that the doors close.
5) Make sure the gear UP indication comes into view on the top
EICAS display. 6) Turn the EIU switch on the P2-4 panel between the L, C, and R EIUs. 7) Make sure the gear UP indication comes into view for the three EIUs. 8) Stop for 10 seconds after the UP indication comes into view. 9) Make sure the gear UP indication goes out of view on the top EICAS display.

10) Make sure the DOOR CLOSED indications come into view on the
EICAS lower display. 11) Move the control lever to the OFF position. 12) Make sure the DOOR CLOSED indication comes into view on the
EICAS lower display for the five landing gear.
(c) Move the control lever to the DN position. 1) Make sure the gear in-transit indication on the top EICAS
display shows when the landing gear starts to extend. 2) Make sure the landing gear extends. 3) Make sure the doors close. 4) Make sure that the gear DOWN indication shows on the top
EICAS display at the end of the extension cycle. 5) Make sure that the DOOR CLOSED indications show on the EICAS lower display for the five landing gear.
(d) Move the control lever to the OFF position. 1) Make sure the EICAS lower display shows CLOSED for the
doors for all landing gear. 2) Make sure that all landing gear doors are closed.
