WING LANDING GEAR DOOR-OPERATED SEQUENCE VALVE MECHANISM - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains these two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the mechanism for the door-operated sequence valve for the wing landing gear
(2)
The installation of the mechanism for the door-operated sequence valve for the wing landing gear.
B.
To remove the valve mechanism these steps are necessary:
(1)
Remove the valve cover
(2)
Disconnect the rod from the door fitting
(3)
Remove the carrier
(4)
Remove the load between the valve clevis and the link
(5)
Remove the rod from the carrier
(6)
Remove the mechanism.
C.
To install the valve mechanism these steps are necessary:
(1)
Connect the rod to the carrier
(2)
Connect the carrier to the valve
(3)
Install the valve cover
(4)
Do a check of the door open adjustment
(5)
Do a check of the operation of the wheel well doors for the main landing gear.

(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).

_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove pressure from hydraulic system No. 4 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Remove the Valve Mechanism

(1)
Remove the valve mechanism (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the four screws (15).
(b)
Remove the valve mechanism cover (16).
(c)
Remove the bolt (7).
(d)
Disconnect the rod (13) from the rod end (8) at point B.
NOTE: Permit the rod and the valve to move to the door closed
____ position (valve clevis extended).
(e)
Remove the four bolts (3) that attach the carrier assembly (6) to the valve (1).
(f)
Remove the carrier bolt (5) that attaches the carrier assembly to its bracket.
