Move the carrier assembly inboard.


 NOTE: This will remove all the load between the valve clevis
____
 and the link (4).

 (h)  
Disconnect the bolt (2) that holds the link to the clevis.

 (i)  
Remove the bolt (14).

 (j)  
Remove the rod (13).

 (k)  
Disconnect the attach bolt (11) and the nut (12) from the support fitting assembly.

Procedure


 S 424-007
 (1)  
Install the valve mechanism (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Install the radius rod (9) on the support fitting assembly with washers on the two sides of the radius rod fitting.

 (b)  
Install the nut (12).

 (c)  
Tighten the nut 240-600 pound-inches.

 (d)  
Install the cotter pin.

 (e)  
If you cannot install the cotter pin or you can loosen the nut below the minimum torque after you install the cotter pin, do these steps: 1) Change the nuts with the other one or install a new one

 2) Install AN960C1216L washer(s) adjacent to the nut.
 (f)  
Use the washers that follow to connect the radius rod (9) to the door fitting (10): 1) Use a countersunk washer made from high strength alloy

 steel adjacent to the bolt head. 2) Use a plain washer made from high strength steel adjacent to the nut and the bushing.

 (g)  
Tighten the nut 600-1500 pound-inches.
