Install the valve mechanism (Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the rod (6) to the carrier (4) with the attach bolt (5), the bushing, the washers and the self-locking nut.

(b)
Tighten the nut to 25-50 pound-inches.
(c)
Put the carrier (4) on the bracket with the clevis end of the valve aligned with the link (10).
(d)
Install the bolt (11) with the countersunk washer adjacent to the bolt head and the plain washer adjacent to the nut.
(e)
Tighten the nut to 25-50 pound-inches.
(f)
Install the four bolts (9) with the thin washers adjacent to the bolt head and the self-locking nut.
(g)
Tighten the nuts to 25-50 pound-inches.
(h)
Push the carrier against the valve spring until the mounting hole aligns with the hole in the bracket.
(i)
Install the bolt (3) with thin washers adjacent to the bolt head.
(j)
Install the cover (8) and the protective cover (13).

(4) Pressurize hydraulic system No. 1 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Install the ground locks in all landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).

Do a check of the door open adjustment to make sure the valve operates correctly:
(a)
Move the control handle to the UP position.
(b)
Install a rigging pin at point A through the two sides of the carrier and through the link.
NOTE: The installation of the rigging pin shows the
____ installation is in the permitted tolerance.
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE RIGGING PIN. FAILURE TO REMOVE THE RIGGING PIN WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MECHANISM IF THE DOOR OPERATES.
(c) Remove the rigging pin.

If it is necessary, adjust the door fitting to permit the rigging pin installation (Ref 32-14-00/501).

Tighten the nut on the bolt (7) to 25-50 pound-inches.

Put the Airplane to Its Usual Condition.
