Move the control lever to the DN position. 1) Make sure the GEAR DISAGREE indication goes out of view on the upper EICAS display. 2) Make sure the GEAR DOOR indication goes out of view on the upper EICAS display when the doors close. 3) Make sure the upper EICAS display shows one box with the DOWN indication.
4) Make sure the lower EICAS display shows all the doors for N the landing gear are in the closed position.
(b)
Move the control lever to the UP position. 1) Make sure the control lever moves to the UP position.
NOTE: You must not use the switch for the lever lock
____ override. This shows the installation for the proximity switch targets for the tilt sensors of the landing gear is correct.
2) Make sure the gear in-transit indication (a slashed box) on the upper EICAS display shows when the landing gear starts to retract.
3) Make sure the landing gear retracts.
4) Make sure there is no interference between the components attached to the landing gear and the landing gear when the gear retracts.
5) Make sure that the doors close. 6) Make sure the gear UP indication comes into view on the upper EICAS display.
NOTE: The gear UP indication will show on the upper EICAS
____ display for 10 seconds only.
7) After ten seconds make sure the gear UP indication goes out of view from the upper EICAS display.

8) Make sure the DOOR CLOSED indications come into view on the lower EICAS display.
(c)
Move the control lever to the OFF position.
1) Make sure the lower EICAS display shows CLOSED for all the landing gear doors.
(d)
Move the control lever to the DN position. 1) Make sure the gear in-transit indication comes into view on
the upper EICAS display when the gear starts to extend. 2) Make sure the landing gear extends. 3) Make sure there is no interference between the components
attached to the landing gear and the landing gear when the
gear extends. 4) Make sure the doors close. 5) Make sure that the gear DOWN indication shows on the upper
EICAS display at the end of the extension cycle. 6) Make sure that the DOOR CLOSED indications show on the EICAS lower display for the five landing gear.
(e) Move the control lever to the OFF position. 1) Make sure the lower EICAS display shows CLOSED for all the
landing gear doors. 2) Make sure that all landing gear doors are closed.

(18) Do these steps to test the main gear and main gear doors operation:
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE
_______ LANDING GEAR AND DOOR OPERATION AREA. A FAST MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR AND DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Make sure that all persons are away from the landing gear and the landing gear doors.
(b)
Quickly move the control lever to the UP position and into the detent. 1) Measure the time that the lower EICAS display shows the
doors in the open position.
NOTE: Start to measure the time when the door open
____ indication comes into view for the wing landing gear.
2) Make sure the door open indication does not show for more than 15 seconds. 3) Make sure the door CLOSED indications comes into view on the lower EICAS display after the retraction cycle.
(c) Move the control lever to the OFF position.
