Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the actuator.
(2)
Install the actuator sling assembly.
(3)
Remove the actuator.

To install the actuator these operations are necessary:
(1)
Connect the head end of the actuator.
(2)
Fill the actuator with the hydraulic fluid.
(3)
Install the hydraulic hoses.
(4)
Connect the rod end of the actuator.

E. Prepare for the Removal
S 494-002 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
S 494-004 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASKS BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Body Landing Gear Door Lock Installation"
(AMM 32-00-30/201).

Do this task: "Wing Landing Gear Door Lock Installation"

Remove the pressure from hydraulic system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201). S 034-006

Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the actuator.

Install the caps on the hoses.
S 494-007 WARNING: YOU MUST USE THE SLING AND THE HOIST WHEN YOU MOVE THE
_______ ACTUATOR. THE ACTUATOR WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 136 POUNDS AFTER YOU FILL IT WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID. IF THE ACTUATOR FALLS, IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(7) Install the sling assembly on the actuator.
