Do a check of the door open adjustment to make sure the valve operates correctly:
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE DOOR
_______ OPERATION AREA. A FAST MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Move the ground release handle for the doors for the main landing gear to the DOORS CLOSED position.
(b)
Move the control handle for the landing gear to the UP position.
NOTE: This will open the doors to the fully open position.

(c) Install a rigging pin at point A through the two sides of the carrier and through the link.
NOTE: The installation of the rigging pin shows the
____ installation is in the permitted tolerance.
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE RIGGING PIN. FAILURE TO REMOVE THE RIGGING PIN WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MECHANISM IF THE DOOR OPERATES.
(d) Remove the rigging pin.

If it is necessary, adjust the door fitting to permit the rigging pin installation (Ref 32-14-00/501).
(9)
Tighten the nut on the attach bolt (7) to 25-50 pound-inches.

Install the mechanism cover (8) with the four attach screws.

Do a check of the valve:
(a)
Put the control handle in the DN position for 3 minutes. 1) Do a check for leaks at the valve. 2) Make sure the piston in the retract actuator tries to
extend approximately 1/4 inch.
(b)
Push the override button for the lever lock of the control handle. 1) Do a check for leaks at the valve and the downlock
actuator. 2) Make sure the piston in the retract actuator tries to retract approximately 1/4 inch.
(c)
Move the control handle to the DN position.
