(b) Install the hydraulic fittings (13 and 18), the O-rings (15 and 16), and the backup rings (14 and 17).

Install the uplock actuator (1):
(a)
Extend the rod end of the actuator (1).
(b)
Fill the actuator with the hydraulic fluid.
(c)
Install the caps on the ports.
(d)
Apply a layer of grease to the hook pivot pin (3).
(e)
Connect the head end of the actuator (1) with the hook pivot pin (3) and the countersunk washer (2).
NOTE: The rod end of the actuator must be forward of the head
____ end. The hydraulic ports must be on the top side of the actuator.
You must install the countersunk washer (2) with the countersunk area in the direction of the bottom of the pin.
(f)
Install the washer (6) and the nut (4).
(g)
Tighten the nut (4) to 100 pound-inches (0.11 N-m) maximum and loosen to the nearest castellation.
(h)
Install the cotter pin (5).
(i)
Apply a thin layer of the grease to the bolt (11).
CAUTION:_______YOU MUST INSTALL THE BOLT AS SHOWN IN FIG. 401. IF YOU INSTALL THE BOLT WITH THE HEAD IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, IT WILL TOUCH THE UPLOCK SPRINGS.
(j)
Connect the actuator rod end to the clevis with the bolt (12), the countersunk washer (11), the washers (9 and 10) and the nut (7).
(k)
Tighten the nut (7) to 100 pound-inches (0.11 N-m) maximum and loosen to the nearest castellation.
(l)
Install the cotter pin (8).
(m)
Remove the plugs and the caps from the hydraulic components.
(n)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the actuator.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3)
Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
(4)
Move the control handle for the landing gear to the OFF position.

_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Supply hydraulic pressure to system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Do a check of the uplock actuator for leaks:
(a)
Move the control handle to the DN position.
(b)
Make sure there are no leaks at the hydraulic connections.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASKS BELOW TO REMOVE
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(9) Do this task: "Wing Landing Gear Door Lock Removal" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
