(1) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) WEATHER RADAR R/T

(2) Disengage the quick-release fasteners on the WXR control panel.

CAUTION: CAREFULLY REMOVE THE CONTROL PANEL FOR THE AFT OR FORWARD
_______ ELECTRONICS CONTROL STAND. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLES AT THE REAR OF THE CONTROL PANEL.

Pull the WXR control panel carefully out from the control stand to get to the electrical connector.

Disconnect the airplane electrical connector from the WXR control panel.

(2) Connect the airplane electrical connector to the WXR control panel.

(3) Install the control panel in the aft or forward electronics control stand.

(6) S 714-065Do the operational test of the weather radar system (Ref 34-41-02/501).

GROUND PROXIMITY WARNING SYSTEM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

General

A. The ground proximity warning system (GPWS) provides the pilots with aural and visual warning of potentially dangerous flight paths relative to the ground. The GPWS processes radio altitude information from the No. 1 low range radio altimeter (LRRA), mach signal and altitude rate information from the central air data computer (CADC), glide slope deviation information from VOR/ILS system and landing gear and landing flap position signals to provide warnings of the following hazards:
