(2) Install the instrument switching module:
(a)
Make sure the electrical connectors on the module are not loose, bent, or broken.
(b)
Connect the electrical connectors to the module.
(c)
Put the module into the panel.
(d)
Install the screws into the front of the module.
(e)
Install the edge light panel.

(3) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

P18 Load Control Center - Left

RF ATTENUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the RF attenuator. The second task is the installation of the RF attenuator and a test of the attenuator.

2. RF Attenuator Removal_____________________
A. General
(1) The RF attenuators are installed on the ILS transfer relays. The ILS transfer relays are installed on shelf No. 4 of the electronics equipment rack, E3 (Fig. 401).

(1) Remove the RF attenuator:
(a)
Disconnect the coaxial cable from the RF attenuator.
(b)
Disconnect the RF attenuator from the ILS transfer relay.

3. RF Attenuator Installation__________________________
A. General
(1) The RF attenuators are installed on the ILS transfer relays. The ILS transfer relays are installed on shelf No. 4 of the electronics equipment rack, E3 (Fig. 401).

(1) Install the RF attenuator:
(a)
Connect the RF attenuator to the ILS transfer relay.
(b)
Connect the coaxial cable to the RF attenuator.

Do the LOC Test part of the VOR/ILS System Test
(Ref 34-31-00/501, 34-31-02/501).
