Set these switches on the ISDU as follows. 1) Set the SYS DSPL switch to the R position. 2) Set and hold the DSPL SEL switch to the TEST position.
NOTE: You may need to hold the switch for up to 60
____ seconds.
a) Make sure the WXR ATT message shows.
3) Release the DSPL SEL switch to the TK/GS position. a) Make sure the WXR ATT message is removed.
4) Set the SYS DSPL switch to the L position.
(j) If no more tests of the weather radar are necessary, do the Weather Radar System Shutdown Procedure.

4. Weather Radar System Shutdown Procedure_______________________________________
A. General
(1) Do the weather radar system shutdown when the weather radar operational test, or system tests are done. Set the switches, controls and the circuit breakers to the shutdown configuration as follows:

(1) Shut down the weather radar system as follows:
(a)
Set the switches on the WXR control panel as follows: 1) TEST - On (pushed) 2) GAIN - CAL 3) IDNT - Off 4) STAB - On (Pushed) 5) TILT - 0°
(b)
Set the controls on the EFIS control panel as follows: 1) BRT control - Midscale 2) RANGE switch - 40 3) WXR power switch - Off
(c)
Set the IRS select switch on the instrument switching module to NORMAL.
(d)
Set the L IRS and R IRS mode select switches on the mode select unit to the OFF position.
(e)
Set the EFI select switch on the instrument switching module to NORMAL.
(f)
Remove the equipment cooling if it is not necessary (AMM 21-58-02/501).

WEATHER RADAR ANTENNA - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. BEJ WITH SPERRY PRIMUS 90 WXR; This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the weather radar antenna. The second task is the installation of the weather radar antenna. The antenna removal task has these parts.
(1)
Open the nose radome.
(2)
Remove the antenna.
B. The antenna installation task has these parts.
(1)
Install the antenna.
(2)
Close the nose radome.
(3)
Do a weather radar system test.
C. BEJ WITH COLLINS WXR-700X WXR; This subject has six tasks which include three removal and three installation tasks. Removal tasks include the removal of the antenna, antenna flat plate and the antenna pedestal. The installation tasks include the installation of the antenna, antenna flat plate and antenna pedestal. The antenna removal task has these parts:

Open the nose radome.
(2)
Remove the antenna.
D. The removal task for the antenna flat plate has these parts:
