 2.  Prepare for Trouble Shooting____________________________
 A.  Supply the electrical power.
 B.  Make sure the ATC, interphone and air data system circuit breakers on P18 and P6 panels are closed.
 C.  Select the transponder to be tested.
 NOTE: Let the transponder warmup for at least one minute.

 ATC SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. One is an operational test; the other is a system test. The operational test is a fast check of the ATC system. The system test first does the operational test. Then it uses test equipment to examine th e ATC code reception altitude reporting, transponder sensitivity, side to be suppression, and transmitter frequency.
 B.  These ramp test set can be used to do the system test:
 Collins 476X-3 test set

 Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. T-33B test set
 Instrument Flight Research ATC-600A test set.
 Instrument Flight Research ATC 601 ramp test set.

 2.  Operational Test - ATC System_____________________________
 A.  General
 (1)  This test examines the ATC system for proper operation. It uses only the system's BITE function. No special test or ground equipment is necessary.
