 (aa) Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the ON position.
 (ab) Put the digital flight control system in the approach mode (AMM 22-11-01/501). 1) Make sure a white or green VOR/LOC annunciation shows on
 the first officer's EADI. (ac) Set the output of the ramp test to supply a localizer frequency of 108.10 MHz. (ad) Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the threshold level.

 (ae) If you cannot get the threshold level, make sure the course deviation bar does not show on the first officer's EHSI. (af) Move the ramp test below the airplane nose. 1) Make sure the course deviation bar shows on the first officer's EHSI. (ag) Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the OFF position. (ah) Close this circuit breaker: 1) P18 Load Control Center - Left a) VHF NAV-1 VOR/ILS
 G.  ILS Frequency Interference Test

 (1)  Do the ILS frequency test:
 (a)  
Do the following steps for the system test.

 (b)  
Make sure the HDG flags in the two RDDMIs are out of view.

 (c)  
Set a local ILS frequency on the two VHF NAV control panels.

 (d)  
If a local ILS frequency is not available, use the ramp test set to supply a 108.10 MHz test signal.

 (e)  
Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the ON position.

 (f)  
Put the digital flight control system in the VOR/LOC mode (AMM 22-11-01/501). 1) Make sure the pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of

 view.


 (g)  
Set the tilt knob on the weather radar control panel to 0 degrees.

 (h)  
Set the switches on the EFIS control panels as follows: 1) Range selector switch - 40 miles. 2) WXR power switch - on (pushed in).

 (i)  
Put the weather radar system in the weather mode (AMM 34-41-02/501).

 (j)  
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the NORMAL position.

 (k)  
Set the LIGHTS switch on the P1 panel in the BRT position.

 (l)  
Tune the two VHF NAV systems to the 40 not used ILS frequencies.


 NOTE: A not used ILS frequency is one from which an ILS signal

 is not expected.


 1)  Make sure you start with 108.10 MHz and stop with
 111.95 MHz.

 2)  Make sure you keep the two VHF NAV systems tuned to each ILS frequency for more than ten seconds.

On the used ILS frequencies, set the WXR power switch on the EFIS control panel to the off position for 30 seconds. 1) Make sure the pointer flags in the two RDDMIs are out of

 view.


 (n)  
Put the weather radar system in the test mode (AMM 34-41-02/501). 1) Make sure the test pattern for the weather radar system

 shows on the EHSIs.

 (o)  
Tune the two VHF NAV systems to the 40 not used ILS frequencies.


 NOTE: A not used ILS frequency is one from which an ILS signal

 is not expected.

 1) Make sure you start with 108.10 MHz and stop with
