4. HSI Transfer Switch Removal___________________________
A. General
(1) The captain's HSI transfer switch (S776) and the first officer's HSI transfer switch (S777) are on the lightshield panel (P7).

(1) For the captain's HSI transfer switch, open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P18 Load Control Center - Left
1) INSTR XFR
2) VOR/LOC-1
(b)
P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) CAPTAINS PANEL LIGHT 28V PRIMARY

(2) For the first officer's HSI transfer switch, open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P18 Load Control Center - Left
1) INSTR XFR
(b)
P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) VOR/LOC-2
2) F/O PNL LTS 28V PRIMARY

(3) Remove the HSI transfer switch:
(a)
Remove the edge light panel from the switch.
(b)
Remove the mounting hardware from the switch.
(c)
Pull the switch from the panel to get access to the electrical wires on the rear of the switch.
(d)
Disconnect the wires from the switch terminals.
(e)
Identify the wires for installation.

A. General
(1) The captain's HSI transfer switch (S776) and the first officer's HSI transfer switch (S777) are on the lightshield panel (P7).

1) INSTR XFR

Connect the electrical wires to the switch terminals.
