 (9)  S 424-034Install the waveguide sections: (a) Connect section 1: 1) Move section 1 through the hole in the forward bulkhead and put it in its position.
 NOTE:____ Make sure you install the pressure seal gasket.
 2)  Loosely install the eight screws that attach the pressure seal of section 1 to the forward bulkhead.

 3) 4)  Attach section 1 to the WXR antenna with the quick-disconnect.Loosely attach the forward flange of section 2 to section 1 with the four screws.
 (b)  Tighten all the screws.
 NOTE:____ Make sure there is no force on the waveguide. Move the waveguide within the clamp to make the waveguide fits correctly.
 1)  AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WXR-700X WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Attach section 1 to the WXR antenna with the
 (c)  quick-disconnect.AIRPLANES WITH SPERRY PRIMUS 90 WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Connect section 2:
 1)  Put section 2 in its position and align it with section 1.
 NOTE:____ Make sure you install the waveguide gaskets.
 2)  Loosely attach the forward flange of section 2 to section 1 with the four screws.
 (d)  AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WXR-700X WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Connect section 2:
 1) 2)  Put section 2 and gaskets in its position and align it between section 1 and the R/T.Loosely attach the forward flange of section 2 to section 1 with the four screws.
 3)  Loosely attach section 2 to the R/T with the four screws, the lock washers and the gaskets.
 (e)  AIRPLANES WITH SPERRY PRIMUS 90 WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Connect section 3:
 1)  Align section 3 and gasket with the waveguide switch and connect it with the four screws.
 2)  Align section 3 and gasket with the R/T mount and connect it with the four screws.
 (f) (g)  AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WXR-700X WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Install the clamp below the antenna and attach it to the support bracket with one screw.Tighten all the screws.
 NOTE:____ Make sure there is no force on the waveguide. Move the support bracket, the R/T mount and other items if it is necessary to make the waveguide fit correctly.

 Do the operational test for the weather radar system
 (AMM 34-41-02/501).

 

 NOTE: If you see the correct test pattern, the waveguide is
____ installed correctly. If there is a problem, you will see a T/R or an ANT fault message on the EHSI.
 F. Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition
