_______ REMOVED FROM THE AIRPLANE. DO NOT TRANSMIT RF ENERGY WHILE FUEL IS ADDED OR REMOVED IN AREA 200 FEET OR LESS OF THE ANTENNA. THIS CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION.
 DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR IN A HANGAR OR OTHER ENCLOSURE.
 DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR WHILE THE AIRPLANE IS IN A HANGAR OR OTHER ENCLOSURE. MAKE SURE NO PERSONS ARE IN THE AREA 15 FEET OR LESS FROM THE ANTENNA WHEN IT TRANSMITS RF ENERGY. RF ENERGY CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (a)  
Push the WX MODE switch on the WXR control panel.

 (b)  
Set the RANGE switch on each EFIS control panel to position the radar targets in the center of each EHSI. 1) Make sure each EHSI have the data that follows:


 a) WX mode message. b) Antenna tilt message shows the WXR control panel antenna tilt position.
 c) The half range message is the correct value d) The arcs have equal space between them. e) The weather or terrain radar returns are in the
 approximate center of the display.
 (c)  Set RANGE switch on the captain's EFIS control panel to the range above the initial position. 1) Make sure the radar returns move to the bottom of the
 captain's EHSI.

 (d)  
Set the RANGE switch on the captain's EFIS control panel to the range below the initial position. 1) Make sure the radar targets move to the top of the

 captain's EHSI.


 (e)  
Set RANGE switch on the captain's EFIS control panel to move the radar targets in the center of the captain's EHSI.

 (f)  
Set the RANGE switch on first officer's EFIS control panel to the range above the initial position. 1) Make sure the radar returns move to the bottom of the first

 officer's EHSI.


 (g)  
Set the RANGE switch on the first officer's EFIS control panel to the range below the initial position. 1) Make sure the radar targets move to the top of the first

 officer's EHSI's.


 (h)  
Turn the inner BRT control clockwise on the captain's EFIS control panel. 1) Make sure the intensity of the radar targets on the

 captain's EHSI increase.

 (i)  
Turn the inner BRT control counterclockwise on the captain's EFIS control panel. 1) Make sure the intensity of the radar targets on the

 captain's EHSI decreases.

 (j)  
Turn the inner BRT control clockwise on the first officer's EFIS control panel. 1) Make sure the intensity of the radar targets on the first

 officer's EHSI increase.

 (k)  
Turn the inner BRT control counterclockwise on the first officer's EFIS control panel. 1) Make sure the intensity of the radar targets on the first

 officer's EHSI decreases.

 (l)  
If no more tests of weather radar are necessary, do the Weather Radar System Shutdown Procedures.


 G. Gain Test
 NOTE: The full gain test will not be possible when there are no radar
____ targets from weather, mountains or large buildings. When there are no targets only the gain message part of this test will be done.

 (1)  Do the weather radar gain test.
 (a)  
Push the MAP MODE switch on the WXR control panel.
