 H. The installation task for the antenna pedestal has these parts:
 (1)  
Install the antenna pedestal.

 (2)  
Install the antenna flat plate.

 (3)  
Do a WXR operational test.

 (4)  
Do the antenna tilt test in the system test.

 (5)  
Do the stabilization test in the system test.

 (6)  
Close the nose radome.

 (7)  
The clear plastic window in the Collins antenna waveguide is installed to keep dirt, moisture, or other contaminents from entering the waveguide. It is not mandatory to replace the clear plastic window if it has been removed; however it is recommended.

 (1)  AIRPLANES WITH HONEYWELL PRIMUS 90 WEATHER RADAR SYSTEM; Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center - Right
 1) WEATHER RADAR AC
 2) WEATHER RADAR DC

 (2)  
AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

 (a)  P6 Load Control Center - Right
 1) WEATHER RADAR R/T


 (3)  
Remove the screws that attach the radome to the fuselage bulkhead.

 WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE NOSE RADOME IF THE WIND IS MORE THAN 15 KNOTS.
_______ IF YOU OPEN THE NOSE RADOME IN A WIND, THE RADOME CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  Open the radome and hold it in the open position by the installation of the support rods on each side.

 CAUTION: WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE ANTENNA OR AN ANTENNA ASSEMBLY,
_______ BE CAREFUL TO CONTROL THE WORKSTAND AND EQUIPMENT. THE WORKSTAND OR OTHER EQUIPMENT COULD CAUSE DAMAGE THE LOCALIZER ANTENNA OR OTHER RADOME EQUIPMENT. DO NOT USE THE LOCALIZER ANTENNA AS A SUPPORT. DAMAGE TO THE LOCALIZER ANTENNA WILL OCCUR.
 (5)  Remove the WXR antenna:
 (a)  
Release the waveguide quick-disconnect.

 (b)  
Disconnect the waveguide from the antenna.

 (c)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the antenna.

 (d)  
If antenna mounting bolts have a drilled hole, Remove the twisted lockwire between each of the four antenna mount bolts and the antenna support assemblies (AMM 20-10-44/401).

 (e)  
Loosen, but do not remove, the top two screws that attach the antenna to the antenna base (Fig. 401).

 (f)  
Remove the two bottom screws that attach the antenna to the antenna base (Fig. 401).

 (g)  
Lift the antenna assembly up until the two top screws disengage from the slots.

 (h)  
Pull the antenna assembly away from the antenna base
 (Fig. 401).


 (i)  
Put dust caps on the waveguide and the electrical connector on the antenna.
