F. ILS Antenna Transfer Relay Test
S 735-014
(1) Do the ILS antenna transfer relay test:
(a)
Do the following steps for the system test.
(b)
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the NORMAL position.
(c)
Open this circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) VHF NAV-2 VOR/ILS
(d)
Set a frequency of 108.00 MHz on the No. 1 VHF NAV control panel. 1) Make sure the course deviation scale shows on the captain's
EHSI.
(e)
Put the ramp test set below the airplane nose.
(f)
Set the output of the ramp test set to supply a VOR frequency of 108.00 MHz.
(g)
Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the threshold level.
NOTE: The threshold level is the minumum signal level
____ necessary to show the course deviation bar on the captain's EHSI.
(h)
If you cannot get the threshold level, make sure the course deviation bar does not show on the captain's EHSI.
(i)
Move the ramp test set below the airplane tail.
1) Make sure the course deviation bar shows on the captain's EHSI.
(j)
Set a frequency of 108.10 MHz on the No. 1 VHF NAV control panel. 1) Make sure the course deviation bar on the captain's EHSI
goes out of view.
WARNING:_______DO NOT ENGAGE AUTOPILOT A OR B. THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES CAN MOVE IF YOU ENGAGE THE AUTOPILOT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(k)
Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the ON position.
(l)
Put the digital flight control system in the approach mode (AMM 22-11-01/501). 1) Make sure a white or green VOR/LOC annunciation shows on
the captain's EADI.
(m)
Set the output of the ramp test to supply a localizer frequency of 108.10 MHz.
(n)
Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the threshold level.

(o) If you cannot get the threshold level, make sure the course
deviation bar does not show on the captain's EHSI.
(p) Move the ramp test below the airplane nose.
1) Make sure the course deviation bar shows on the captain's
EHSI.
(q) Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the
OFF position.
(r) Open this circuit breaker:
1) P18 Load Control Center - Left
a) VHF NAV-1 VOR/ILS
(s) Close this circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) VHF NAV-2 VOR/ILS
(t) Set a frequency of 108.00 MHz on the No. 2 VHF NAV control
panel.
1) Make sure the course deviation scale shows on the first
officer's EHSI.
(u) Put the ramp test set below the airplane nose.
(v) Set the output of the ramp test set to supply a VOR frequency
of 108.00 MHz.
(w) Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the
threshold level.
NOTE: The threshold level is the minumum signal level____
necessary to show the course deviation bar on the first
officer's EHSI.
(x) If you cannot get the threshold level, make sure the course
deviation bar does not show on the first officer's EHSI.
(y) Move the ramp test set below the airplane tail.
1) Make sure the course deviation bar shows on the first
officer's EHSI.
(z) Set a frequency of 108.10 MHz on the No. 2 VHF NAV control
panel.
1) Make sure the course deviation bar on the first officer's
EHSI goes out of view.
