C. Procedure
S 864-019
(1) AIRPLANES WITH HONEYWELL PRIMUS 90 WEATHER RADAR SYSTEM;
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) WEATHER RADAR AC
2) WEATHER RADAR DC

(2) AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS;
Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) WEATHER RADAR R/T

(3) If necessary open the nose radome as follows:
(a) Remove the screws that attach the radome to the fuselage bulkhead.
WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE NOSE RADOME IF THE WIND IS MORE THAN 15
_______ KNOTS. IF YOU OPEN THE NOSE RADOME IN A WIND, THE RADOME CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b) Open the radome and hold it in the open position by the installation of the support rods on each side.

(4) Install the WXR antenna:
(a)
Remove the dust caps from the waveguide and the electrical connector.
(b)
Put the antenna on the two top bolts and lower the antenna until it is on the top mount bolts (Fig. 401).
(c)
Put the two bottom bolts with washers through the antenna and the mount.
(d)
Tighten all four bolts to 220-240 pound-inches.
(e)
If antenna mounting bolts have a drilled hole, Put a double twisted lockwire between each of the four antenna mount bolts and the antenna support assemblies (AMM 20-10-44/401).
(f)
Connect the antenna electrical connector.
(g)
Connect the waveguide to the antenna at the waveguide quick-disconnect.
NOTE: Make sure you install the O-ring gasket.

(5) AIRPLANES WITH SPERRY PRIMUS 90 WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Do the steps that follow: (a) Make sure the azimuth drive switch is in the ON position. (b) Make sure the guard for the SCAN switch is down and tightened.

(6) Do an electrical bonding test between the airplane structure and the weather radar antenna (SWPM 20-20-00).

(7) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Disengage the support rods that hold the radome open.
