Do this task to remove the old sealant from the airplane skin: "Faying Surface Seal Application" (AMM 51-31-00/201).

Do this task to clean the airplane surface with the solvent and rag: "Aluminum Corrosion Removal" (AMM 51-21-31/701).

Do this task to prevent corrsion to the airplane surface: Apply the Corrsion Inhibiting Compound (SRM 51-20-01).

Install the marker beacon antenna:
(a)
Connect the electrical connector to the antenna.
(b)
Align the antenna with the holes in the fuselage.
(c)
Install the screws in the antenna base.
(d)
Tighten the screws.
F. Resistance Measurement

(1)
Remove one of the screws from the antenna base.

(2)
Connect the bonding meter between the mounting screw hole and the airplane skin.

(3)
Do this task to do a check of the resistance between the antenna base and the airplane skin: "Electrical Bonding Check" (SWPM 20-20-00).
(a) Make sure the resistance is not more than 0.001 ohm.

(4) Do this task to apply weather/aerodynamic fillet to the antenna: "Aerodynamic Smoother Application" (AMM 51-31-00/201).
NOTE: Apply the aerodynamic smoother to the leading edge of the

antenna only.

(5) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
(a) P18 Load Control Center - Left

(6) Do this task to supply electrical power: "Manual Control" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(1) Do the marker beacon antenna test:
(a)
Put the ramp test set approximately 15 feet away from the marker beacon antenna.
(b)
Turn on the ramp test set.
(c)
Set the ramp test set to supply a 75 MHz signal with 400 Hz modulation. 1) Make sure light for the OUTER marker beacon on the
captains' instrument panel comes on.
(d)
Turn off the ramp test set.

(2) Do this task to remove electrical power if it is not necessary: "Manual Control" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
