F. Self-Test for System No. 2

(1) Do the self-test for system No. 2:
(a)
Do the following steps for the operational test.
(b)
Set the course counter on the DFCS mode control panel to 000.
1) Make sure the course arrows on the two EHSIs agree with the course counter.
(c)
Set a local VOR frequency on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel. 1) Make sure you hear the local VOR sound through the flight interphone system. 2) Make sure the course deviation bar and scale show on the first officer's EHSI.
3) Make sure the wide pointers on the RDDMIs show the bearing to the local VOR station.
(d)
Set a frequency of 108.0 MHz on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel. 1) Make sure these results occur on the first officer's
instruments:
a) The pointer flags show on the RDDMI
b) EHSI annunciations and displays:
Course Deviation Scale . . . . . In View Course Deviation Bar . . . . . . Out of View To/From. . . . . . . . . . . . . Blank System/Number. . . . . . . . . . VOR 2 Frequency. . . . . . . . . . . . 108.00

Hold the VOR test switch on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel in
the VOR position.
1) Make sure this sequence occurs:
a) These indications occur for approximately three seconds: 1 The course deviation bar on the first officer's EHSI
_ is out of view. 2 The wide pointer flags show in the two RDDMIs.

b) These indications occur after approximately three seconds: 1 The course deviation bar on the first officer's EHSI
_ is in the center. 2 The wide pointer flags in the two RDDMIs go out of
_ view. 3 The to-from display on the first officer's EHSI
_ shows FROM. 4 The wide pointers in the two RDDMIs show 180 |3
_ degrees. c) These indications occur after approximately 23 seconds: 1 The course deviation bar on the first officer's EHSI
_ goes out of view. 2 The wide pointer flags in the two RDDMIs come into
