Do this task to remove the navigation unit to get access to the transfer relay: Navigation Unit Removal (Ref 34-31-42/401).

Remove the VHF NAV transfer relay:
(a)
Disconnect the coaxial cables and electrical cables from the relay.
(b)
Remove the screws that attach the relay to the shelf.
(c)
Remove the VHF NAV transfer relay from the shelf.

3) VHF NAV-1 VOR/ILS
(b)
P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) INSTR XFMR-2
2) VHF NAV-2 VOR/ILS

(2) Install the VHF NAV transfer relay:
(a)
Align the relay to the holes in the shelf.
(b)
Install the screws to attach the relay to the shelf.
(c)
Connect the coaxial cables and electrical cables to the relay and tighten with your hand.
