Do this task to clean the airplane surface: Aluminum Corrosion Removal (AMM 51-21-31/701).

Apply a layer of BMS 3-23 corrosion-preventive compound to the mating surfaces of the antenna and the airplane structure (SRM 51-20-01).

(3) S 424-010Install the glide slope antenna: (a) Remove the dust caps from the electrical connectors. (b) Connect the coaxial cables to the glide slope antenna. (c) Align the glide slope antenna to the screw holes that hold the antenna to the bulkhead. (d) Install the screws to attach the glide slope antenna to the bulkhead.
(4) S 224-000Do this task to do a check of the resistance between the antenna base and the airplane skin: Electrical Bonding Check (SWPM 20-20-00). (a) Make sure the resistance is not more than 0.001 ohms.
(5) S 714-021Do the Glide Slope Test part of the VOR/ILS System Test to make sure the antenna operates correctly (AMM 34-31-00/501, AMM 34-31-02/501).
(6) S 414-010Close the nose radome (AMM 53-52-00/401).
(7) S 864-026If electrical power is not necessary, do this task to remove electrical power: Manual Control (AMM 24-22-00/201).
