5) Make sure the range marks have labels of 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100. 6) Make sure the first three color bands are green, yellow,
and red.
7) Make sure the fourth color band (65 to 80 nm) is yellow.
8) Make sure the target alert window is red.
9) Make sure the noise band between 85 and 95 nmi is solid
green and extends unbroken across the full display.

(3) Do a test of the controls on the WXR indicator as follows:
(a)
Turn the INT control in the two directions. 1) Make sure the intensity of the test pattern changes.
(b)
Push the AZIM control.
1) Make sure the azimuth marks come into view, each 30 degrees apart.
(c)
Push the AZIM control again.
1) Make sure the azimuth marks go out of view.
(d)
Push the SEC SCAN control. 1) Make sure the display decreases to an area equal to 80 degrees.
2) Make sure the scan rate is approximately one scan for each 2 seconds.
(e)
Push the SEC SCAN control again. 1) Make sure the scan goes back to an area equal to 160 degrees.
2) Make sure the scan rate is approximately one scan for each 4 seconds.
(f)
When the scan line is at one of the edges of the display, push the TGT ALRT control. 1) Make sure a letter T in a red box comes into view in the
target alert window. 2) Make sure the letter T is replaced with the letters TGT when the scan line goes into the target alert area.
NOTE: The letters TGT will flash on and off.

(g)
Push the TGT ALRT control again. 1) Make sure the target alert window goes out of view.
(h)
Push the FRZ button.
1) Make sure the scan line stops.
(i)
Push the FRZ button again. 1) Make sure the scan line immediately moves to align with the
antenna. 2) Make sure the scan line starts to move as usual.
(j)
Push the CYC mode selector.
1) Make sure the red areas on the display start to flash off and on approximately once every second.
(k)
Push the MAP mode selector.
1) Make sure the green and red areas on the display change to magenta and cyan.
