 (3)  Do a test of the Excessive Sink Rate Warning as follows:
 (a)  
Make a 2000-foot radio altitude and a barometric altitude of 20,000 feet.

 (b)  
Make a barometric sink rate of 4500 feet per minute.

 (c)  
Make sure that the GPWS indicators and aural warning consisting of SINK RATE comes on.

 (d)  
Slowly decrease the radio altitude to 1200 feet.

 (e)  
Make sure that the PULL UP indicators remain on, and that aural warning changes to WHOOP-WHOOP PULL UP.

 (f)  
Adjust the barometric sink rate to 2700 feet per minute. Make sure that the warning goes off.


 NOTE: The warning may change to SINK RATE before going off.

 (g)  
Put the barometric altitude to 10,000 feet, barometric sink rate to 0 feet per minute, and make a radio altitude of 1000 feet.

 (h)  
Make sure that no warning occurs.

 (i)  
Make a barometric sink rate of 3000 feet per minute.

 (j)  
Make sure that the GPWS indicators and the aural warning consists of SINK RATE comes on.

 (k)  
Slowly decrease the radio altitude to 700 feet.

 (l)  
Make sure that the PULL UP indicators stay on, and that the aural warning changes to WHOOP-WHOOP PULL UP.

 (m)  
Decrease the barometric sink rate to 1800 feet per minute.

 (n)  
Make sure that the warnings go off.


 S 865-008
 (4)  Do a test of the Closure Warning as follows:
 (a)  
Set the barometric altitude to 5000 feet and radio altitude to 2100 feet.

 (b)  
Gradually decrease the radio altitude from 2100 feet to 100 feet in approximately 30 seconds.

 (c)  
Make sure that the PULL UP indicators and aural warning consists of TERRAIN, TERRAIN followed by a repetition of WHOOP-WHOOP PULL UP come on when radio altitude reaches below 1500 feet.

 (d)  
Increase the radio altitude to 600 feet.

 (e)  
Make sure that the PULL UP indicators stay on, and that the aural warning changes to a repetition of TERRAIN.

 (f)  
Increase the barometric altitude to 5400 feet.

 (g)  
Make sure that the warnings go off.


 S 865-009
 (5)  Do a test of the Descent in Wrong Configuration as follows:
 (a)  
Set landing flaps to 15 degrees and make a radio altitude of 750 feet.

 (b)  
Make sure that no warnings occur.

 (c)  
Slowly reduce radio altitude to 400 feet at a rate not greater than 1000 feet per minute.

 (e)  
Set the landing gear lever to DN position.

 (f)  
Make sure that the warnings go off.

 (g)  
Using the pitot static test set, make 0.3 mach by applying static pressure (Ps) of 20.58 In. Hg. and total pressure (Pt) of 21.90 In. Hg.

 (h)  
Make sure that no warning occurs.

 (i)  
Slowly decrease the radio altitude to 200 feet.

 (j)  
Make sure that the PULL UP indicators and aural warning consists of TOO LOW TERRAIN comes on.

 (k)
