A. General
(1) This system test is a more complete check of the ATC system. The system test first does the ATC Operational Test. Then it uses a ramp test set to examine the left and the right ATC system.

Remove appropriate ATC antenna (Ref 34-53-11/401).

Connect the antenna end of transmission line to the T-33B test set as follows:
CAUTION: DO NOT CONNECT THE TEST SET'S TNC CONNECTOR DIRECTLY TO
_______ THE ATC TRANSPONDER. THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TEST SET.
(a)
The antenna must be disconnected from the TNC connector and protector cap must be installed on this TNC connector to prevent signals leak.
(b)
Connect a six foot test cable to the TNC connector on the test set.
(c)
With the right adapter, connect the other end of test cable to the ATC antenna transmission line.

(5) Turn on the test set. Make sure the BATTERY CHECK meter is in the white part of the scale. If it is not, recharge the battery from a 115V AC 50-400 Hz source.
NOTE: You can operate the test set while the battery is being
