 (2)  S 865-050Set the altitude reporting switch on the ATC control panel to ON.
 (3)  S 865-051Connect pitot static test set to the airplane's pitot static systems.
 NOTE:____ Follow the procedures and cautions of pitot static system as defined in 34-11-00, Adjustment/Test.
 (4)  S 865-053Adjust the applicable altimeter to 29.92 inches of mercury.
 (5)  S 865-054On the test set, set the MODE switch to mode C, and READOUT switch to ALTITUDE.
 NOTE:____ READOUT switch may be changed to the PILOT position and test set will show altitude transmission code of airplane's altitude. READOUT selector may be set in the BINARY position and the test set will show actual number of A-B-C-D pulses transmitted.
 The test set will add 400,000 feet to the altitude if there are invalid C pulses (CO - C5 - C7), 200,000 feet if there are invalid D pulses (D1 - D3 - D7), and 600,000 feet if there are invalid C and D pulses.
 When there is no Mode C information, such as would occur with a disconnected digitizer, test set altitude readout will be 4007. To see if the digitizer is disconnected, the test set will show 0000 when the readout switch is set to PILOT.
 (6)  S 865-056Hold the POWER switch ON. (a) Make sure the test set shows field elevation |125 feet of the altimeter.
 (7)  S 865-055Use the air data test set to apply static pressure and altitude reporting code list to supply sufficient number of test altitudes (between 0 and 35,000 ft).
