Carefully remove connector D189 from the R/T mount.

Remove the four screws, washers and nuts which attach the R/T mount to the shelf assembly.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE R/T MOUNT FROM THE SHELF
_______ ASSEMBLY. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS OR THE R/T MOUNT.
(i)
Carefully remove the R/T mount from the shelf assembly.
(j)
Put a cover over both ends of connector D189 that is lint free for protection of the electrical connector and waveguide section.

(1) AIRPLANES WITH SPERRY PRIMUS 90 WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) WEATHER RADAR AC
2) WEATHER RADAR DC

(2) AIRPLANES WITH COLLINS WXR-700X WEATHER RADAR SYSTEMS; Make sure this circuit breaker is open with a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag attached:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) WEATHER RADAR R/T

Install the R/T mount:
(a)
Remove the dusts caps on connector D189.
(b)
Make sure the R/T mount wire bundle and the connector D189 contacts are not damaged.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE R/T MOUNT INTO THE
_______ SHELF ASSEMBLY. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR OR THE R/T MOUNT.
(c)
Put the R/T mount on the shelf assembly at station 200.
(d)
Install the four screws, washers and nuts which attach the R/T mount to the shelf assembly.
(e)
Carefully install connector DB189 on the R/T mount.
(f)
Install four screws, nuts and eight washers to attach connector D189 to the R/T mount.

Remove the dust cap on waveguide section 3.
(h)
Install the four screws and lockwashers and a gasket to attach the waveguide section 3 to the R/T mount.

(4) COLLINS WXR; Install the R/T mount (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the dust caps on connector D189.
(b)
Make sure the R/T mount wire bundle and the connector D189 contacts are not damaged.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE R/T MOUNT INTO THE
_______ SHELF ASSEMBLY. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR OR THE R/T MOUNT.
(c)
Put the R/T mount on the shelf assembly at station 200.
(d)
Install the four screws, washers and nuts which attach the R/T mount to the shelf assembly.
(e)
Carefully install connector D189 into the R/T mount.
(f)
Install four screws, nuts and eight washers to attach connector D189 to the R/T mount.
(g)
Remove the dust cap on waveguide section 2.
(h)
Install the four screws and lockwashers and a gasket to attach the waveguide section 2 to the R/T mount waveguide (AMM 34-41-21/401).
