 B.  Make sure that the flaps are up, and that the landing gear lever is in the OFF or DN position.
 C.  Do this task to apply electrical power: "Manual Control"
 (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 D.  Set an ILS frequency on VHF NAV-1 (AMM 34-31-02/501).
 E.  Make sure that the failure warning flag in the captain's height indicator and altimeter are not in view.
 F.  Make sure that the VHF NAV transfer switch is set at the NORMAL position.
 G.  Make sure that the GS flag on captain's ADI is out of view.
 3.  Present Status BITE___________________
 A.  To start the present status BITE you must hold the STATUS/HISTORY switch in the PRESENT STATUS position for a molment. This does the same internal checks as the operational test started from the flight compartment.
 NOTE: No test results, aural and/or visual, are annunciated in
____ the flight compartment during any of these procedures.
 (1)  
Each test sequence starts with a full segment, eight position, LED test pattern and stops with the display END TEST.

 (2)  
Each line shows for one second.

 (3)  
If no failures are found, the display reads GPWS OK.
