(1) Remove the caps and the plugs from all the electrical connectors and receptacles before you connect each connector.

Clean the area of the harness bracket around the J2 connector with the cloth made moist with solvent, Series 92 (AMM 20-30-92).

Install the front wire harness (Fig. 403):
NOTE: The torque value for all the cable clamp bolts is 36-40

pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
NOTE: All the electrical connectors must be tightened with
____ your hands first and then tightened to 85-100 pound-inches (9.6-11.3 newton-meters) with a mini-strap wrench.

CAUTION:_______ DO NOT INSTALL THE CLAMPS OVER THE LACING TAPE. MOVE THE
LACING AS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE CLAMP
AND THE TAPE. DAMAGE TO THE WIRE HARNESS CAN OCCUR.
(a)
Put the front wire harness in its position on the forward side of the APU engine.
(b)
Install the J2 connector (48) on the harness bracket.
(c)
Attach the J2 connector (48) to the harness bracket with the four screws (49). 1) Tighten the screws (49) to 10-12 pound-inches
(1.2-1.4 newton-meters).
(d)
Connect the P22 connector (45) to the J22 connector at the lower bracket (44).
NOTE: The connector is fully tightened when you cannot see
____ the red color band.
(e)
Install the lower bracket (44) between the clamp (47) and the bracket support angle.
(f)
Attach the wire harness to the bracket with the clamp (47) and the bolt (46).
(g)
Loosely attach the wire harness to the bracket on the lower vent tube with the clamp (43), the bolt (42) and the nut (41).
(h)
Loosely attach the wire harness to the bracket on the upper vent tube with the clamp (30), the spacer (29), the bolt (28) and the nut (27).
(i)
Loosely attach the wire harness to the bracket on the oil scavenge tube with the clamp (36), the bolt (35) and the nut (34).
(j)
Connect the P15 connector (33) to the N2 speed sensor.
NOTE: The connector is fully tightened when you cannot see
____ the red color band.
(k) Connect the P17 connector (37) to the IGV actuator.
NOTE: The connector is fully tightened when you cannot see
____ the red color band.
(l)
Adjust the harness to ensure that it is not too loose or too strained at the P15 connector (33) and P17 connector (37). 1) Tighten the three nuts (27), (34) and (41).
(m)
Loosely attach the wire harness to the upper and lower vent tube brackets with the two clamps (26), the two bolts (25) and the two nuts (24).
