(a)
Attach the links to the APU lugs with the bolts, the washers, and the nuts. 1) Tighten the nuts with your fingers.
(b)
Attach the support block for the cone bolt to the links with the bolts, the washers, and the nuts. 1) Tighten the nuts to 65-75 pound-inches (7.4-8.5 N.m).
(c)
Tighten the nuts that attach the links to the APU lugs to 65-75 pound-inches (7.4-8.5 N.m).
(d)
Attach the shockmount to the beam with the bolt, the washers, and the nuts. 1) Tighten the nuts to 50-70 pound-inches (5.7-7.9 N.m).
(e)
Attach the vertical support tube to the shockmount with the bushings, the bolts, the washers, and the nuts. 1) Tighten the nuts to 50-70 pound-inches (5.7-7.9 N.m).
(f)
If you loosened the bolt which attaches the support tube to the structure, then tighten the bolt.

Close the APU access doors:
(a)
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars:
1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged.
2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
(b)
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
(c)
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.
(d)
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.
(e)
Close the APU access doors.
(f)
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

APU HARNESS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the tasks to remove and install the electrical wire harnesses for the APU. This procedure is in two sections. One section is for the front wire harness on the forward side of the air inlet plenum. The other section is for the rear wire harness on the aft side of the air inlet plenum.
B. There are four tasks in this procedure. There are removal and installation tasks for an APU with a wire harness jumper (PRE-PWC-SB 16142). There are removal and installation tasks for an APU without a wire harness jumper (POST-PWC-SB 16142). POST-PWC-SB 16202 changes the straight P6 connector with a 90 degree angle connector.
C. The wire harnesses are installed around the APU engine. You can get access to the wire harnesses through the APU access doors.
D. Table I shows the APU electrical connectors, their mating components, and the approximate location of the component.
