Open the APU access doors.

Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Visually Examine the APU Forward Support and Shockmounts

(1)
Visually examine these parts for corrosion, cracks, or damage:
(a)
The left and the right vertical supports.
(b)
The nuts, the bolts, the bushings, and the washers for the vertical supports.
(c)
The left and the right axial supports.
(d)
The nuts, the bolts, the bushings, and the washers for the axial supports.
(e)
The lateral support.
(f)
The nuts, the bolts, the bushings, and the washers for the lateral support.
(g)
The left and the right shockmounts.
(h)
The cone bolt nuts and washers.

(2)
Replace the parts that are damaged if it is necessary.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1)
Close the APU access doors.
(a)
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars: 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged. 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars. 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
(b)
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
(c)
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.
(d)
Make sure the insulation covers attach correctly against the APU compartment firewall.
(e)
Close the APU access doors.
(f)
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

(2) Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.
