(c) Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT HIT THE INLET PLENUM WITH YOUR HANDS OR TOOLS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM. IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPLACE IT.

Remove the rear wire harness on the APU (Fig. 402):
(a)
Disconnect the P10 connector (19) from the air temperature sensor (T1).
(b)
Disconnect the P9 connector (25) from the P1 pressure sensor.
(c)
Disconnect the P11 connector (23) from the T6 trim unit.
(d)
Disconnect the P12 connector (24) from the identification unit for the serial number.
(e)
Remove the four bolt (21, 22, and 26), the four clamps (20, 29, and 31), and the three spacers (36).
(f)
After you remove the clamp (20), install the bolt (21) and the spacer (36) on the inlet plenum. 1) Tighten the bolt (21) with your fingers.
(g)
Disconnect the P6 connector (1) from the ignition exciter.
(h)
Disconnect the P5 connector (2) from the oil temperature sensor.
(i)
Disconnect the P7A connector (17) from the oil pressure switch.
(j)
Disconnect the P7 connector (15) from the J7 connector (13).
(k)
Remove the four screws that attach the J7 connector (13) to the bracket on the fuel pump. 1) Remove the J7 connector (13).
(l)
Remove the eight nuts (4, 7, and 8), the eight bolts (3, 10, and 18), and the eight clamps (6, 9, and 16).
(m)
Remove the lacing tape that attaches the wire harness jumper

to the wire harness at four locations.
(n)
Disconnect the P3 connector (14) from the fuel pump.
(o)
Remove the two bolts (12), and the two clamps (11).
(p)
Remove the nut (8), the bolt (12), and the clamp (11).
(q)
Disconnect the P4 connector (30) from the fuel metering unit.
(r)
Remove the six nuts (8), the six bolt (10, 12, 26, and 28), and the six clamps (27, 29, and 31).
(s)
Remove the bolt (33) and the clamp (32).
(t)
Remove the four screws (35) that attach the J1 connector (34) to the harness support bracket.
(u)
Remove the rear wire harness from the APU engine.
NOTE: The wire harness jumper will be fully removed with

the front wire harness.

(5) Install caps and plugs on all the electrical receptacles and connectors for protection.

Seal the wire harness in a plastic bag.

Keep the plastic bag in a strong container until it is time to install the wire harness.
