(f)
The aft mount links
(g)
The bolts, the nuts, and the washers for the mount links.

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.

Close the APU access doors:
(a)
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars: 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged. 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
(b)
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
(c)
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.
(d)
Make sure the insulation covers attach correctly to the APU compartment firewall.
(e)
Close the APU access doors.
(f)
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

Open the APU access doors:
(a)
Open the latches on the APU access doors.

Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Remove the APU (Ref 49-11-01/401).

Disassemble the aft mount assembly:
(a)
Remove the nuts, the washers, and the bolts which attach the vertical support tube to the shockmount. 1) Remove the bushings.
(b)
Move the vertical support tube lightly forward or aft to easily remove the shockmount.
NOTE: You can loosen the bolt which attaches the support
____ tube to the airplane structure if it is necessary. This will let the tube move.
(c)
Remove the bolts, the washers, and the nuts which attach the shockmount to the beam. 1) Remove the shockmount.
(d)
Remove the bolts, the washers, and the nut which attach the support block for the cone bolt to the links. 1) Remove the support block.
(e)
Remove the bolts, the washers, and the nuts which attach the links to the APU lugs. 1) Remove the links.

CAUTION: THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF THE AFT SHOCKMOUNT BUSHINGS (BARRY
_______ CONTROLS P/N BACB28W6C015 OR LORD MANUFACTURING COMPANY P/N LM-714-14). DO NOT MIX THE TWO TYPES OF THE BUSHINGS. THIS CAN CAUSE A DIFFERENCE IN THE OPERATION OF THE SHOCKMOUNT.
(4)
Examine the components of the aft mount assembly for worn areas.
(a)
Replace the components with worn areas that are more than the limits shown in the table.
