(9) Do the borescope inspection of the combustion chamber lining (Fig. 607):
CAUTION:_______BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE BORESCOPE DEVICE. THIS DEVICE CAN BE EASILY DAMAGED. DO NOT TWIST OR HOLD THE DEVICE TIGHTLY. DO NOT LET THE BORESCOPE DEVICE FALL TO THE GROUND. DAMAGE TO THE BORESCOPE CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE ACTUATOR LEVER FOR THE DISTAL TIP IS IN THE
_______ NEUTRAL POSITION WHEN YOU INSTALL OR REMOVE THE BORESCOPE. THIS WILL PERMIT THE TIP TO MOVE FREELY.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LET 40 MINUTES GO BY AFTER AN ENGINE

Put the end of the borescope through the igniter boss into the
combustion chamber.
Move the end of the borescope until the fuel nozzle is visible.
Examine all of the fuel nozzles.
1) Do a visual check for collected carbon particles.
2) Do a visual check for stress due to high temperatures.
3) Make sure the nozzles are not clogged.
If there are any of the above conditions; replace all of the
fuel nozzles (Ref 49-31-04/401).
Do an inspection of the combustion chamber lining.
1) Examine the combustion dome for buckling (View B, Item A.,
Fig. 607). a) Local buckling that does not have a large depth is permitted. b) Buckling with a sudden change of the contour (kinks) is not permitted.
2) Examine the combustion dome for burned areas (View B., Item A., Fig. 607). a) Burned walls that cause a reduction in wall thickness
are not premitted.
3) Examine the combustion dome for cracks (View B., Item A., Fig. 607). a) No cracks are permitted
4) Look for burned through holes in the combustion dome (View B., Item A., Fig. 607). a) Burned through holes in the combustion dome are not
