(c) Engage the support rods for the APU access doors. S 358-008
WARNING:_______DO NOT USE HEAT GUNS, SOLDERING GUNS OR SOLDERING IRONS. THIS EQUIPMENT CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION. AN EXPLOSION CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT HIT THE INLET PLENUM WITH YOUR HANDS OR TOOLS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM. IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPLACE IT.
(4) Cut the cable jacket:
(a) Remove the clamps that are near the section of the wire to be
repaired (Ref 49-14-00/401).
(b) Remove the lacing tape from the wire harness.
(c) Cut the cable jacket and the shield to get the wire.
1) Make sure a minimum of 0.75 inches (20.0 mm) of the shield
shows.

(5) Cut the wire (View A, Fig. 801).
(a) If you cut more wires, make sure the cuts are not adjacent.
(b) Make sure the cuts are not below a loop clamp.
(c) Get the correct inner and outer ferrules.

(6) Put the inner and then the outer ferrules on each end of the cable
(View B, Fig. 801).
(a) Move the ferrules clear of the splice area.

(7) Install the tubular braid.
(a) Cut a piece of the tubular braid that is longer than the splice
repair area.
1) Make the tubular braid larger.
2) Put the tubular braid on one end of the cable
(View B, Fig. 801).
a) Make sure the tubular braid is clear of the splice
repair area.
