(1) Remove the caps and the plugs from all the connectors and receptacles before you connect each electrical connector.

(2) Clean the area of the harness support bracket around the J1 connector with the cloth made moist with solvent, Series 92 (AMM 20-30-92).

(3) Install the rear wire harness (Fig. 402):
NOTE: The torque value for all the cable clamp bolts is 36-40
____ pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters). All the connectors must be tightened with your hands.
(a)
Put the wire harness in its position on the aft side of the APU engine.
(b)
Attach the J1 connector (34) to the harness support bracket with the four screws (35). 1) Tighten the screws (35) to 10-12 pound-inches
(1.2-1.4 newton-meters).
(c)
Attach the wire harness to the harness support bracket with the clamp (32) and the bolt (33).
(d)
Connect the P4 connector (30) to the fuel metering unit (31).
NOTE: The connector is fully tightened when you cannot see
____
the red color band.
(e)
Attach the P4 section of the harness to the drain line for the fuel pump with the clamp (31), the bolt (26), and the nut (8).
(f)
Attach the P4 section of the harness to the drain line for the fuel pump with the two clamps (29), the two bolts (28), and the two nuts (8).
(g)
Connect the P3 connector (14) to the fuel pump.
NOTE: The connector is fully tightened when you cannot see

the red color band.
(h)
Attach the P3 section of the harness to the drain line for the fuel pump with the clamp (11), the bolt (12), and the nut (8).
(i)
Attach the P3 section of the harness to the harness support bracket with the two clamps (11), and the two bolts (12).
