Install the two packings (1) on the transfer tube (3).

Install the transfer tube (3) on the flow divider and dump valve (4).
(d)
Connect the fuel pressure tube (2) to the flow divider and dump valve (4). 1) Tighten the coupling nut on the fuel pressure tube (2) to
320-350 inch-pounds (36.2-39.6 newton-meters).

CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE LUBRICANT TOUCH THE CONDUCTORS IN THE TWO
_______ IGNITION CABLES. A HIGH RESISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO IGNITER PLUGS AND IGNITION EXCITER WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE TWO IGNITION CABLES.

Lightly apply the spray lubricant to the seal seat area at the ends of the two ignition cables (5).
(13)
Connect the two ignition cables (5) to the ignition exciter (6).

_______ CABLES MOVE WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE TWO COUPLING NUTS. DAMAGE TO THE TWO IGNITION CABLES CAN OCCUR.
(a) Tighten the two coupling nuts with your fingers plus 1/8 of a turn.

Connect the electrical connector D95006 (P6) (7) to the ignition exciter (6).
(a)
Tighten the coupling ring on the electrical connector D95006 (P6) (7) until the electrical connector is at the bottom of the receptacle and the connection is tight.
(b)
Make sure the electrical connection is not loose when you move the APU harness.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 overhead panel.

Close the left APU access door, 317AL, and right APU access door, 318AR:
(a)
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the right access door.
(b)
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.
(c)
Lift the right access door until you can install the lanyard on the pin at the aft APU compartment bulkhead.
NOTE: The lanyard will hold the right access door on the APU
____
compartment bulkhead.
(d)
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.
(e)
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.
(f)
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.
(g)
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.
(h)
Close the two APU access doors.

8. APU System Deactivation (With APU Installed)____________________________________________
A. General
(1)
There are two procedures to operate the airplane with an APU that does not operate. The first is to open the circuit breakers and put a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the APU control switch. The second is to send out the airplane without an APU, the ducts sealed, and the loose components put away.
