Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
(c)
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.
(d)
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.
(e)
Close the APU access doors.
(f)
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

(3) S 862-037Turn the BATTERY switch on the P5 panel to the ON position.
(4) S 862-018Turn the APU control switch on the P5 panel to ON.
(5) S 862-019Let the air inlet door move to the full open position.
(6) S 862-038Remove the R7715 relay on the P83 panel (WDM 49-11-14).
(7) S 862-020Do this task: Put the Air/Ground Relay System in the Air Mode (AMM 32-09-02/201).
(8) S 862-021Make sure the air inlet door partially closes.
(9) S 862-022Open APU INLET DOOR circuit breaker on P83 Panel in E8 equipment center and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.

Turn the APU control switch on the P5 panel to OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open the APU access doors:
(a)
Open the latches on the APU access doors.
(b)
Open the APU access doors.
(c)
Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Adjust the door position switch:
(a)
If it is necessary, loosen the nut that attaches the door position switch to the mounting adapter.
(b)
If it is necessary, disconnect the switch connector D7427P from the firewall receptacle.
(c)
Connect the multimeter leads to the pin 3 on the connector D7427P and to ground. 1) The multimeter must show an open circuit.
(d)
Turn the door position switch clockwise until the switch operates. 1) The multimeter must show continuity.
(e)
Turn the switch clockwise one full turn.

Tighten the jam nut.
1) Install a lockwire on the nut.
(g)
Connect the electrical connector D7427P to the firewall receptacle.

Close the APU access doors:
(a)
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars:
1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged.
2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
(b)
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
