Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

Close the APU access doors.

AIR INLET SCREEN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the tasks to remove and install the inlet screen

for the APU.
B.
The air inlet screen (9) is attached to the air inlet plenum that attaches to the lower flange of the air inlet duct. You must remove the APU to get access to the air inlet screen (9).

(1) Remove the APU (AMM 49-11-01/401).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HIT THE INLET PLENUM WITH YOUR HANDS OR
_______ TOOLS. IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPOSITE MATERIAL.
MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LEAN OR SIT ON THE INLET PLENUM WHEN YOU REMOVE THE INLET SCREEN. IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPOSITE MATERIAL.
MAKE SURE YOU COLLECT ALL REMOVED ITEMS. LOOSE ITEMS CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE APU.
(2)
Do the steps that follow to remove the left inlet screen (9):
(a)
Disconnect the P1 pressure sensor connector to gain access to the inlet screen (AMM 49-61-06/401), if necessary.
(b)
Loosen the fastener studs from the left inlet door. 1) Remove the left inlet door.
(c)
Remove the P17 electrical connector from the IGV actuator (AMM 49-52-03/401), if necessary.
