2) Remove the eight terminal nuts (30) and eight washers (31) from the studs of the two terminal blocks.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE CORRECT PHASE LEAD TO THE
_______ CORRECT STUD ON THE GENERATOR TERMINAL BLOCK. AN INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE EIGHT PHASE LEADS ARE INSTALLED ON TOP
_______ OF THE TWO TERMINAL BLOCKS. HIGH ELECTRICAL CURRENT WILL MELT THE TWO TERMINAL BLOCKS IF YOU INSTALL THE EIGHT WASHERS BELOW THE EIGHT PHASE LEADS. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
3) Remove the identification tags and install the eight phase leads to the eight studs on the two terminal blocks with the eight washers (31) and eight terminal nuts (30). a) Tighten the eight terminal nuts (30) to 110-120
pound-inches (12.4-13.6 newton-meters). 4) Install the two terminal block covers (29) on the two terminal blocks.
(h)
Connect the ground strap (4) to the ground stud (2) on the load gearbox (3) with the two washers (1) and nut (5) (AMM 20-11-15/401).
(i)
Do the electrical bonding test between the APU load gearbox and the airplane structure (AMM 20-22-01/601). 1) The bonding resistance between the APU and airplane
structure is 0.001 ohm or less.
(j)
Connect the two terminal leads (20) to the starter motor (19) with the six washers (21) and two nuts (22).
NOTE: The starter motor has no positive or negative terminals.
____ You can connect each terminal lead to one of the two terminals.
1) Tighten the two nuts (22) to 88-106 pound-inches (9.9-12.0 newton-meters).

Do the installation test for the APU:
(a)
Do this task: APU Starting and Operation (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(b)
Operate the APU for a minimum of five minutes.
(c)
During the APU operation, examine the APU for signs of oil and fuel leakage.
(d)
If you find oil or fuel leakage, then do these steps to repair the leakage: 1) Do this task: APU Usual Shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201). 2) Do this task: APU Drain Inspection (AMM 49-16-00/601). 3) Repair the cause of the fuel or oil leakage.
(e)
Get access to the EICAS status page. To get access to it, do this task: Obtain Airplane System Information (AMM 31-61-00/201) and make sure these EICAS status messages do not show: 1) APU
