Put the APU rear mount sling in position on the aft side of the APU.
(c)
Remove the two pins from the two clevis of the APU rear mount sling.
(d)
Align the two holes of the two clevis to the two top holes of the two APU ground support lugs and install the two pins.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE FISHPOLE HOIST IS IN A SERVICEABLE
_______ CONDITION. THE CABLE OR CHAIN OF THE FISHPOLE HOIST MUST SHOW NO SIGNS OF DAMAGE. YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: FISHPOLE HOISTS WITH A CABLE AND DRUM ASSEMBLY;
_______ MAKE SURE THE CABLE OF THE FISHPOLE HOIST IS EQUALLY WOUND AROUND THE DRUM ASSEMBLY BEFORE YOU USE THE FISHPOLE HOIST TO HOLD THE APU. A CABLE THAT IS NOT EQUALLY WOUND CAN CAUSE THE APU TO FALL SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU.
(e) Do these steps to install the fishpole hoist to the keyhole slot:

CAUTION: A FAILURE TO CORRECTLY INSTALL THE FISHPOLE HOIST IN
_______ THE KEYHOLE SLOT CAN CAUSE THE FISHPOLE HOIST TO DISENGAGE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU.
THE AFT HOIST POINT FOR THE APU IS ABOVE AND TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE APU. THIS POINT IS ON A BRACKET WITH THE KEYHOLE SLOT BETWEEN THE STRUCTURAL STATIONS 2725.13 AND 2733.89. YOU MUST ATTACH THE BUTTON OF THE FISHPOLE HOIST FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THIS BRACKET ONLY.
THE SUPPORT POINT FOR THE APU EXHAUST DUCT IS APPROXIMATELY 13 INCHES (33 CM) AFT OF THE HOIST ATTACH POINT. THIS POINT IS ON THE TOP CENTERLINE OF THE AIRPLANE STRUCTURE. DO NOT USE THIS POINT TO ATTACH THE BUTTON OF THE FISHPOLE HOIST.
1) Install the button on the fishpole hoist to the keyhole slot on the bracket at the top of the APU compartment. a) Make sure the button on the fishpole hoist is engaged
in the keyhole slot on the bracket. 2) Extend the fishpole hoist to a length that is easy to use.
(f)
Unwind the cable or chain of the fishpole hoist until the clevis fitting aligns with the shackle of the APU rear mount sling.
