 (9)  Do these steps to put insulation on the damaged braid: (a) Do these steps to tightly wind one layer of the insulation tape around the braid:
 (b) (c)  1) Start the tape layer one inch (25 mm) from the cable jacket damage. 2) Wind the tape around the cable while you move along the cable until the tape has a 20% overlap. 3) Continue to wind the insulation tape around the cable until it is 1.0 inch (25 mm) on the other side of the cable jacket damage.Do these steps to tightly wind one layer of the anti-chafing tape around the braid: 1) Start the anti-chafing tape layer 0.5 inches (13 mm) from the layer of the insulation tape. 2) Wind the tape around the cable while you move along the cable until the tape has a 20% overlap. 3) Continue to wind the tape around the cable until it is 0.5 inches (13 mm) from the other side of the insulation tape.Attach the ends of the tape to the cable with the lacing tape.

 Install the lacing tape on the wire harness as it is necessary.

 Close the APU access doors:

 (a)  
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars: 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged. 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars. 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.

 (b)  
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.

 (c)  
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.

 (d)  
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (e)  
Close the APU access doors.

 (f)  
Close the latches on the APU access doors.
