 C. Procedure
 S 864-172
 (1)  
Make sure the APU control switch on the P5 panel is OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

 (2)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6 Main Power Supply Panel
 1) 6K18 APU ALTN CONT


 (b)  
P83 Panel, E8 Aft Equipment Center
 1) APU PRIMARY CONT

 (3)  
Open the APU access doors:

 (a)  
Open the latches on the APU access doors.

 (b)  
Open the APU access doors.

 (c)  
Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT HIT THE INLET PLENUM WITH YOUR HANDS OR TOOLS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM. IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INLET PLENUM, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO REPLACE IT.
 (4)  
Remove the front wire harness on the APU (Fig. 403):

 (a)  
Disconnect the P20 connector (1) from the air temperature sensor (T13).

 (b)  
Remove the nut (2), the bolt (3), the clamp (4) and the grommet (5).

 (c)  
Install the nut (2) and bolt (3) to attach the angle bracket to the exit duct flange. 1) Tighten the nut (2) with your fingers.

 (d)  
Disconnect the P21 connector (6) from the diverter control valve.

 (e)  
Remove the three nuts (7), the three bolts (8), the three clamps (9) and the three grommets (10) from the three top brackets on the load compressor case.

 (f)  
Remove the seven nuts (11), the seven bolts (12) and the seven clamps (13) from the brackets on the side of the load compressor case.

 (g)  
Disconnect the P19 connector (14) from the oil level sensor.

 (h)  
Disconnect the P23 connector (19) from the air temperature sensor (T12).

 (i)  
Remove the nut (15), the bolt (16), the clamp (17) and the grommet (18) from the bracket on the bottom of the load compressor case.

 (j)  
Remove the three nuts (38), the three bolts (39) and the three clamps (40) from the brackets across the bottom of the load compressor case.

 (k)  
Disconnect the P18 connector (20) from the N1 speed sensor.

 (l)  
Remove the five nuts (21), the four bolts (22) and bolt (50), and the five clamps (23) from the brackets on the oil scavenge tube.

 (m)  
Remove the two nuts (24), the two bolts (25) and the two clamps (26) from the brackets on the drain and vent tubes.

 (n)  
Disconnect the P15 connector (33) from the N2 speed sensor.
